Spanish Rapper Sets New Guinness World Record With 24-Hour Rhyme

A Spanish rapper who goes by the name of Arkano recently set the Guinness World Record for non-stop rapping and rhyming for 24 hours, 34 minutes, and 27 seconds. That’s a lot of bars.

The rapper’s ambitious trial began on Oct. 28 in Madrid’s central Puerta del Sol square before thousands of people, according to reports. Arkano, who is known for addressing political issues in his raps, also spit about social concerns during his day-long freestyle. What’s more, he only allowed himself three-second water breaks in between rhymes.
Following his big victory, Arkano took to Twitter, noting that he had no words to describe his “incredible” experience. His latest achievement trumps L.A. rapper Murs’ record-breaking rap, which is recorded at only 24 hours and 15 minutes in 2013. And before that, the record for longest raps was held by duo Chiddy Bang, who rhymed for a little over nine hours back in 2011.
