All three human feet have been found in the city in the last six months within a hundred yards of each other.
A severed human foot has been found in a garden in Bath, the third grisly discovery in the city since February.
Avon and Somerset police say it was discovered in the
garden of a house in Cranwells Park, and has been sent for forensic
analysis.
"At this stage we are keeping an open mind as to whether or not this is linked to the previous two similar incidents in the city," said a police statement.
The first foot was found in Weston Park East in February, while
the second was discovered in a garden of a house in Weston Park in
July.
They had both been severed cleanly and appeared to have been preserved in a way that prevented police from extracting enough DNA to help them be identified.
All three feet have been found within a few hundred yards of each other.
Weston Park is around a quarter of a mile from the Royal United Hospital.
Following a full investigation, it was decided that the first
foot was probably an exhibit from a hospital or school, and was not the
result of a crime.
It is thought that the second foot, which is still undergoing tests, is likely to be from the same source.
The same police team is looking into the latest discoveries, and are trying to confirm if they are linked.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the police on 101 and quote log number 558 of 3 August.
