A Cambodian court has ordered the temporary imprisonment of a Mamasan who convinced schoolgirls to sell their virginity. According to Kampuchea Thmey Daily News, the judge of municipal court temporary imprisoned a 32-year-old woman who was accused of convincing young schoolgirls to sell their virginity. The trade normally took place at the hotel.
Anti-human Trafficking and Juvenile Protection said that in the evening on May 26, police cracked down on virginity trading related crimes when a woman was found brining some young schoolgirls to the hotel for their virginity trade business located in Chea Sim Blvd, Phnom Penh Thmey commune, Sen Sok district, Phnom Penh.
Police arrested Eng Bopha and saved four young schoolgirls whose age ranged from 17 to 23 years old. Police also confiscated $1,000 USD.
"The saved victims told police that they were brought to Cambodians who live abroad for the price ranging from $1,500 to $2,500. However, after they had slept with the customers, they only received $200. The suspect confessed to committing the crime of human trafficking." the police said
After questioning, the victims were sent to Social Ministry in Phnom Penh while the suspect was sent to court and later temporary imprisoned.
