Afghanistan President, Ashraf Ghani, said the Country no longer see Pakistan as mediator to bring the Taliban to the peace table.
He said on Monday in Kabul that the country is moving away from its policy of leaning on its neighbour to
broker talks with the militants.
Ghani told both houses of parliament early Monday that he would be asking Pakistan to conduct military operations against Taliban within its territory.
The president disclosed that the shift in policy was as a result of last week’s bloody attack in Kabul that killed more than 60 and wounded more than 300 people.
Abdul Rahimi, Kabul Police Chief, confirmed that the attack was planned by the Haqqani network of the Afghan Taliban in Pakistan.
